The Alcohol Ordinance and Licensing Review Committee has been created by the City of Minot to review its alcohol ordinance in order to ensure it reflects today’s business environment, community expectations, and regulatory needs. This page is a dedicated space for current alcohol license holders to share input, raise concerns, and highlight operational impacts directly related to the ordinance review process.
Rather than restarting formal committees or relying on isolated conversations, the City is using this engagement space to gather practical, experience-based feedback from those who work with the ordinance every day.
Alcohol licensing touches a wide range of business operations—from compliance and enforcement to economic vitality and customer experience. While the ordinance review has been underway for some time, City leadership has heard that license holders want a clearer, more direct way to provide input outside of traditional committee structures or public meetings.
This engagement is intended for:
Current alcohol vendor and liquor license holders operating within the City of Minot
Business owners or managers responsible for compliance with the alcohol ordinance
This project is not:
A vote on a final ordinance
A replacement for required public hearings
A forum for unrelated service requests or enforcement complaints
This space is designed to support constructive, experience-driven input related specifically to alcohol licensing and ordinance language.
