Soil survey work will be performed. Metro’s contractor team plans to begin field activities during the week of July 28. The initial week will involve marking the boring locations and clearing them for underground utilities. This preparatory work will take place during the day, as it does not involve any drilling.
Beginning the week of August 4, Metro’s contractor will commence drilling operations on Washington Blvd., thru Saybrook Ave. and Garfield Ave, and along Smithway St, thru Flotilla St and Tubeway Ave. This work will be conducted at night, between 9:00 PM and 6:00 AM, Monday through Friday. We anticipate that fieldwork will be completed by September 12. This may change based on the fieldwork progress.
