Plan Framework After an overview of the community engagement process, and the existing conditions and trends, the Plan presents recommendations for eleven topic areas:

• Environment and Open Space
• Sustainability, Resiliency, and Infrastructure
• Parks, Recreation, and Facilities
• Historic Preservation
• Economic Development
• Housing
• Mobility
• Institutions
• Land Use
• Township Facilities and Services

Implementation Each section includes:

• Goals: Long-term vision statements that provide the overall direction for preferred future conditions.
• Strategies: A collection of actions that work together to achieve to achieve a goal.
• Actions: An individual policy, project, program, partnership, or ordinance.

The strategies and actions are recommendations for how to meet the goals, based on what is known today. Thus, they may evolve as more information is gathered. These elements are intended to present an integrated approach to advancing the Township’s shared vision for the future. As such, throughout the Plan, you will see strategies and actions from one section referenced in another.
