Climate Change

The City is committed to helping its residents and businesses prepare for the changes brought on by climate change while reducing our collective role in its impact.

City of Key West Adaptation Plan

The City was awarded two grants to create an Adaptation Plan. The Adaptation Plan will start in 2023 and involve the public in discussions and decisions about what to expect in the coming decades. More than just roads, the Adaptation Plan will look at critical facilities, like hospitals, fire stations, and schools, as well as our homes and commercial properties, historic preservation, power and water resources, construction standards, environmental habitats, and many more subjects.

This website will provide and archive up-to-date information about the planning process and provide a variety of ways for the public to engage by sharing thoughts and ideas.
